NATO UNDERWATER DIVING WORKING GROUP (UDWG)
The UDWG staffs proposals for operational standardization in all aspects of military Underwater Diving. The UDWG standardizes Diving Techniques, Clearance Diving Operations, Amphibious Warfare Operations, Ship's Diver Operations, Salvage Operations, Underwater Construction Operations, Equipment and Table Validation Procedures, Medical Guidance for Diving Operations, and Diving and Seabed Operations below 50 metres. The UDWG has two committees, viz. Medical and Equipment & Systems (E&S) Committee. The Medical Committee that consists of naval medical officers and civilian specialists, is charged with examining the specialized field of diving medicine. The Equipment and Systems (E&S) Committee is responsible for diving equipment related problems and identify patterns that may be associated with improper design or use. SONISTICS CO-ORDINATE INDUSTRY RECEPTION AT 2009 UDWGThe 2009 UDWG Conference is to be held in Brussels during March/April and sonistics will be bringing appropriate Industry together to host an Industry Reception for delegates on 1 April 2009.
