Sonistics Ltd - supporting global Submarine Escape, Rescue and Abandonment Systems (SMERAS)

We were invited to introduce key UK contractors to the annual NATO Submarine Escape and Rescue Working Group (SMERWG) Conference in March 2005.  This important conference consists of NATO and partner nations with submarine fleets and is not open to contractors.  Click here for further information on SMERWG.

Sonistics co-ordinated a UK Industry Cocktail Reception as part of SMERWG 05 and, due to the success of this event, we extended the contractor list to include other nations.  The Industry Reception is now an acknowledged item on the SMERWG Agenda.  The event works because it gives procurement officers the opportunity of discussing new and existing products with the suppliers and it provides a platform for contractors to launch new concepts and products and introduce unknown buyers to tried and tested services and equipment.  28 nations attended SMERWG 07 and, once again, the Industry Reception proved a worthwhile event for delegates and contractors alike.  To maintain the intimate atmosphere with this event, the number of contractors presenting is capped at 16.

Sonistics Ltd has a database of key contractors who supply sub-sea developments.  Access to this database is via the SMERAS on-line Directory - click here to access the directory.  This database is placed in front of procurement officers and other end-users as part of the sonistics.com website.

• Contracted by the UK MoD to assist with the tender assessment for the supply of Submarine Escape and Immersion Suits for the RN

• Development of the SMERAS on-line Directory extending into new, investigated  markets

• Partnerships with companies supplying innovative products
